The dream of becoming a dentist became imprinted in my mind at an early age. That dream was fulfilled when I graduated from dental school in 2003.
I received my Bachelor of Science with Honours in Human Biology and Nutritional Sciences from the University of Toronto in 1999. I then obtained my D.D.S. degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2003. Following that, I completed a one-year post-doctoral residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 2004, before entering private practice.

I enjoy providing preventive and comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages. I believe that it is essential to really listen to my patients and understand their needs, concerns and desires. Joining Dr. Colson’s team has enabled me to incorporate holistic dentistry in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. I present as much knowledge to patients as possible to help them confidently make their own decisions and contribute to their treatment plan. I am also passionate about working with paediatric patients. Children’s experiences in the dental chair are of the utmost importance to me, and my goal is to make their visit as pleasant and comfortable as possible. I have spent several years treating many under-privileged children. Creating happy smiles has been my greatest reward.
Since graduating, I have always placed a great amount of pride and emphasis on continuing education, and I am currently working on my fellowship at the Academy of General Dentistry. To serve my patients better, it is important to continually educate myself in the upcoming advances and evolving technologies in my field. I am an active member of the Ontario Dental Association, Toronto Implant Study Club, George Hare Endodontic Study Club, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. I have also been involved in teaching dental students at the University of Toronto for the past several years. This allows me to share my educational and work experiences with them.
Aside from my professional career, I enjoy travelling, dining, reading and spending time with my family. |
